FARMING PROJECT
Project description:
For its self-financing, OVC-Rwanda intends to buy 20ha of land for agri-livestock work. This will make it possible to solve the nutritional problems of children while training them in the profession of farmer.
Main activities
Agriculture (market gardening): 10ha
-Vegetables (onions, cabbage, carrots, etc.): 6ha
– Copper bananas: 2ha
– Dessert bananas: 2ha
Breeding (10ha)
-poultry: 2000 laying hens type Dercopontes
– cattle: 7 Friesian type cows
– goats for meat: 70 goats and 2 goats
– dairy goats: 70 Boar goats
– Rabbits: 30 3 male rabbits
-fish: Seeding of Tilapia Nilotica in a 1000m2 pond
Expected results
For the project, we plan to produce a lot of vegetables from milk, meat and eggs in order to feed the children and sell the surplus on the market for money.
